This is a great part of American comedic history. The duo of Abbott and Costello is known by folks of every age; their timeless acts of "Who's on First?" and dozens of blockbuster films made them immortal. This is a signed check drawn on the account of one half of the duo, Lou Costello. The Bank of America check dip lays the usual processing stamps and perforations, none of which encroaches on Costello's signature. The check has been folded twice, one of which was just to the right of Lou's signature. This check, dated Feb. 19, 1947 is made out to the California Thoroughbred Breeders Association for $10.00 membership dues. It's interesting to note that 10 years later it would be his partner Bud Abbott who would break up their act to focus on raising thoroughbred horses. Encapsulated and graded Authentic by PSA/DNA.
