Signatures of three of the classic stars of the game on authentic reproductions are included in this lot. Perhaps the highlight is the 1969-fashioned Chicago Cubs jersey, signed by the great Ernie Banks. The button-front flannel pinstriped top is reproduced right down to the small vent holes under the arms, and includes the Cubs logo crest on the left breast and Cubbie picture logo on left sleeve. Banks has signed in black sharpie and added beneath, “Let’s Play Two,” his trademark saying. Hank Aaron’s flannel Braves number is actually a zip-front, and includes the black-and-red tomahawk beneath the script “Braves” logo across the chest. Tail label indicates the jersey as part of the Cooperstown Collection, and includes the slugger’s signature in black and “755” hologram. Finally, Brooks Robinson’s crisp, white Baltimore Orioles double-knit home uniform top is signed across his number “5” on the back in silver Sharpie along with “HOF 83.” This simple, clean jersey, manufactured by Majestic, is a classic of style in its own right.
