Keith ended his last full season in St. Louis in style by leading the Cards to the World Championship. Hernandez contributed great defense and 8 RBI in a tough 7 game win over Milwaukee. This coveted World Series trophy is the fruits of that swan song season. The Balfour-made trophy is 12" high and is ringed by 26 gold colored pennants representing both leagues. A silver baseball sits in the center surmounted by a gold ring atop which is a gold-colored crown. In front of the silver ball are two press pins representing the Cardinals and Brewers. The trophy's base is surrounded by a brass plaque which reads "ST. LOUIS CARDINALS WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS 1982 KEITH HERNANDEZ". When real World Series trophies do come on the market (and that's not very often) they are usually attributed to trainers or front office personnel - this one is from none other than Keith Hernandez. LOA from Keith Hernandez.
