Pittsburgh Pirates leftfielder Starling Marte broke this Old Hickory bat in the top of the fifth inning while grounding out to third base off Nationals pitcher Taylor Jordan during the July 23, 2013 game in which Pittsburgh won at Washington 5-1. The white-taped handled bat is still intact but broken at the handle and shows other game use. This bat has been MLB Authenticated (EK 650189).
