You’d have to think Casey Stengel felt pretty good each time he filled out one of these lineup cards in 1958. Imagine the manager’s feeling of ease as he penciled in Bauer, Kubek, Mantle, Berra, McDougald, Siebern, Lumpe and Thornberry – 5 out of those were All-Stars that summer. If looking over that lineup didn’t warm Stengel’s heart then the last name on the card must have – Don Larsen, who pitched a perfect game for him in the 1956 World Series. The visiting team 3 ¾” x 4 ¾” card stock lineup card is filled out in pencil by Stengel and then signed in the lower right corner.
