The Yankees shortstop used the ‘99 season to cement his reputation as the game’s most exciting player. Leading the American League in hits with 219, his .349 average was second best in the AL and helped propel the Yanks to another World Championship. The Louisville Slugger P72 is un-cracked and shows heavy use. Many ball marks and stitch impressions are visible as are the white ball scuffs and blue ink transfers from heavy contact. The barrel shows marks from a weighted batting donut and flecks of paint are missing from the finish in many places from heavy use. Mota stick is also evident. Jeter has signed the bat’s barrel in contrasting silver ink and PSA/DNA sticker number 1B05179 is affixed to the knob end. Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA who have given this bat a perfect score of GU 10.
