Since his rookie season in '05 the Capitals captain and left wing has proven himself to be one of the NHL's most dominant offensive players. He made the All-Star team, the first time in over a decade a first year player was so honored and just missed winning the Rookie of the Year Award. In 06-07, the season this practice jersey dates to, Ovechkin scored 46 goals for 92 points, firmly establishing himself as the game's most exciting young star. Ovechkin's striking black practice jersey has the embroidered purple, gold and white Capitals logo on the front with bold white striping down the inside of the body and the silver on the outside of the sleeves. A size "58" patch is located on the bottom left tail. Inside the tail is a sewn MeiGray Group label with serial number D10312. Size 58 Canadian Reebok label is sewn inside the collar. An NHL logo patch is sewn at the v-neck below which Ovechkin has signed in white pen. The back has the Reebok patch below the collar. Letter of Authenticity D10312 from MeiGray and PSA/DNA X52320.
