Stanton is consistently the hardest-hitting slugger in the game. During 2012 he hit a 462 foot shot that set the speed record for ESPN’s Home Run Tracker and later hit home runs that set the record for both Coors Field and Marlins Stadium. Stanton’s Louisville Slugger P147 bat displays excellent use and is un-cracked. Several ball marks with stitch impressions can be seen on the barrel along with blue ink transfers. A light coat of Mota Stick is on the lower handle and pine tar is found on the upper handle. The date of manufacture “12/05/12”, length “33.5” and weight “32.5” is stamped into the knob end. Stanton’s number “27” is hand written on both the knob and barrel end in black marker. Letter of Authenticity 1B08942 from PSA/DNA who have graded this bat a GU 8.
