If you stated Mariano Rivera was the greatest relief pitcher in baseball history very few would argue with you. Along with being a thirteen-time All-Star and five-time World Series champion, Rivera is MLB's career leader in saves and games finished. He also won five American League Rolaids Relief Man Awards, three Delivery Man of the Year Awards and he finished in the top three in voting for the AL Cy Young Award four times.
Offered here are TWO (2) framed 16x20 photos. The first is an image of Rivera on the cover of Sports Illustrated. Standing in front of the type of stadium he systematically entered to shut the door on opposing teams, the caption reads “EXIT SANDMAN” (a take on the familiar “Enter Sandman” often thought of when Rivera entered a game) and the sub-caption “Baseball fans bid adieu to the great Mariano Rivera.” Rivera has signed the image in blue sharpie and added the inscription “Last to wear #42” and is numbered 4/42. The second photo is classic Rivera in action wearing Yankee pinstripes and also signed by Rivera in blue sharpie. Both photos come with Steiner Sports Authentication.
