In the year that man walked on the moon, New York Mets third baseman Ed Charles danced on the mound at Shea Stadium while catcher Jerry Grote lifted pitcher Jerry Koosman in the most memorable embrace known to Mets fan. It’s still the happiest moment in the teams’ 52-year history, captured in this brilliant black and white 20” x 24” inch photograph, elegantly framed and matted in a tri-tiered silver and black border and signed by 24 members of the 1969 “Miracle Mets,” including Hall of Famers Tom Seaver, the 1969 Cy Young award winner and coach Yogi Berra, who would become the Mets manager after the tragic and untimely death of Gil Hodges, as well as Nolan Ryan, who displayed flashes of brilliance at the time but had not quite garnered control of his abilities just yet. Other signatures include; Wayne Garrett, Amos Otis, Bud Harrelson, Ron Swoboda, Joe Pignatano, J.C. Martin, Ed Charles, Don Clendenon, Jerry Koosman, Duffy Dyer, Ed Kranepool, Eddie Yost, Rod Gaspar, Jim McAndrew, Don Cardwell, Tug McGraw, Ron Taylor, Ken Boswell, Al Weis, Cleon Jones and Jerry Grote. MLB hologram and PSA/DNA pre-certified.
