It's a wonderfully happy coincidence that the greatest baseball player of all time was also blessed with the greatest and most iconic autograph of all time as well. This fantastic framed display is built around one of the finest examples of a Babe Ruth autograph we have seen. Executed in his flawless penmanship, this signature is in a stunningly bright blue fountain pen ink on a creamy off-white paper. To say Ruth's iconic script leaps off the paper would be an understatement. To display this incredible cut a museum-quality matted frame has been laboriously constructed. Measuring a Ruthian 28 1/2" x 40", the matte matched the blue ink of the signature upon which 3 dimensional letters spell out his name and famed number "3". The intertwined "NY" of the team he made famous are mounted on each side of a black and white print of Nat Fein's Pulitzer Prize-winning photo "The Babe Bows Out". A sampling of his lifetime career achievements are listed in white. A dimensional Yankee Stadium frieze stretches across the bottom of this beautiful display, a reminder of why the ball park was called "The House That Ruth Built". LOA from PSA/DNA who have graded this bold signature a 9.
