The 1965 All-Star Game, held at Minnesota's Metropolitan Stadium, marked the ninth consecutive (of 18 straight) All-Star appearance for Baltimore Orioles third-baseman Brooks Robinson. Robinson was just coming off his 1964 A.L. MVP season, so his selection came as no surprise that year. In 1965, Robinson finished third in the MVP race, slugging 18 home runs, 80 RBI and a .297 average, and his customary vacuum cleaning effects at the hot corner. Brooks was 1-4 in this All-Star game, and eventual 6-5 National League win. The Adirondack Model 194B bat is un-cracked and shows no evidence of game use. The special All-Star issued bat features "1965 All Stars" stamped below Brooks Robinson's name. The model number "194B" is stamped into the knob end. Robinson has signed the barrel between the center brand and stamped name in black marker adding "HOF 1983". The bat has a solid provenance from the batboy of the Washington Senators and later clubhouse manager for the Minnesota Twins, Ray Crump. Letter of Authenticity 1B04456 from PSA/DNA.
