A four-time Cy Young award winner who delivered the championship-hungry fans of Philadelphia a World Series title in 1980, Steve Carlton remains the most beloved pitcher in franchise history. “Lefty” signed this game-used cap from the 1976 season on top of the brim in bold, black sharpie along with the inscriptions “Cy 72, 77, 80, 82” and “GAMER.” A Wilson manufacture’s tag, size 7 1/8, is found on the inside band along with the inscription “CARLTON 6/76” in black ink. Carlton’s number “32” is inscribed in bold, black sharpie on the underside of the brim. The cap shows heavy signs of game use, including staining on the inside band and at the seams on both sides of the brim. The signed cap comes with a JSA LOA and LOA from noted memorabilia expert Dave Miedema.
