Harold Baines was one of the best hitters of his era and the first “full-time” Designated Hitter. After being the first overall draft pick in 1977, Baines went on rack up 2,866 hits, 488 doubles, 384 home runs and 1,628 RBIs. This remarkable group collects five game used bats covering the future Hall of Famers entire career. The earliest of the lot is a 1980-83 Louisville Slugger M110 that shows heavy use including a cracked handle. Another player’s number “8” has been written on the knob and Baines has signed the barrel in blue marker. LOA 1B08976 from PSA/DNA. The 1991 Rawlings 369F bat is cracked and shows heavy use. His number “3” is on the knob end. LOA 1B08974 from PSA/DNA. The 1995 Young Y37 model bat displays heavy use and has been cracked. Baines’ number “3” is hand written on the knob end and he has signed the barrel in silver. LOA 1B08975 from PSA/DNA. The 1996-97 Hoosier HB135 bat shows moderate use and has a cracked handle that has been secured. Baines’ number “3” is on the knob end and he has signed the barrel in silver ink. Letter of Authenticity 1B08973 from PSA/DNA. The 1999 Louisville Slugger C271 bat us un-cracked and has been made game ready. Baines has signed the barrel in silver. LOA 1B08972 from PSA/DNA.
