Brooklyn Dodgers Al Gionfriddo made one of the more memorable World Series defensive plays when he robbed Yankees Joe Dimaggio of a sure extra base hit in the sixth inning of Game 6 in the 1947 World Series. This 16 x 19 in black and white photo that is matted in a 24 x 24.25 inch framed display, shows Giionfriddo at the base of the 415 FT marker in left center field. Gionfriddo signed and inscribed this picture “I robbed Joe D.” and his signature comes with a COA from PSA/DNA (P75399). Also included in this lot is a ticket stub from that Game 6 matchup that has been encapsulated by PSA/DNA with a VG-EX 4 grade (21083107) and is a part of the display.
