One of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history, Dan Marino five times led the league in passing yards and became the first signal caller to throw for 5,000 yards in a season in 1984. These authentic Pony cleats, dated to that very 1984 campaign, were signed by Marino on the outside of each foot in bold, black sharpie along with the inscription “#13.” The size 11 ½ cleats feature Marino’s number “13” handwritten in aqua sharpie on both heels. The inside of the left cleat features stamped numbering, including “490006” and “SIZE 11 ½,” both of which appear above the date code “840509” or May 9, 1984. Photo matching shows Marino wore this model shoe in games during 1984, though with an orange stripe at the top, meaning these cleats were either backups or for practice use. The cleats show light evidence of use, including just some minor scuffing, and are accompanied by Mears and JSA LOA’s.
