Perhaps the biggest news of baseball’s off season, was 2014 NL MVP runner up Giancarlo Stanton signing the largest contract in professional sports history, a 13-year, $325 million deal with the Miami Marlins that dwarfs the previous record of $275 set by the New York Yankees with Alex Rodriguez back in 2008. In his five seasons with the Marlins, Stanton has racked up 154 home runs, many of the tape measure variety. Stanton’s 37 home runs led the National League in 2014 and tied his career-high set in 2012 he also led the NL with a .555 slugging percentage.

Stanton wore this size-50 Wilson Jamestown Jammers button-down, gray road jersey during his first minor league season with the Marlins, way back in 2007 when he was still going by his middle name Mike. The number 47 is sewn onto the back of the jersey in navy blue, green and white tackle twill and also appears in the same fashion beneath the word Jamestown written in bright, lime green, emerald green and navy blue across the front. A small minor league baseball logo patch is sewn onto the back of the collar, the Wilson manufacturers tag and size-tag are on the inside collar and a Wilson W logo patch is on the left shirt sleeve with a line of navy piping running around the sleeves and along the collar and buttons. LOA written on Jamestown Jammers stationary, signed by General Manager Matt Drayer.
