This original 17” x 22” three-image air brushed montage of New York Yankees Captain Derek Jeter was created by accomplished sports artist Michael Gardner for the cover of Legends magazine’s hobby edition and includes a large portrait of Jeter in a road uniform gazing intensely out towards the field from the on-deck circle and two depictions of Jeter in action; one jumping in the air to complete a double-play from his shortstop position and the other following through on a swing at the plate. Jeter is wearing the Yankees home pinstripes in each of the action images and both appear to be during day games as he is wearing sunglasses while fielding and batting in bright day light. The artist’s signature is on the left side of the print. This beautiful artwork comes directly from Legends Magazine Creator and Owners Joe & Sue Kaufenberg's personal collection.
