After being drafted 5th overall by the New York Jets in 2009 out of Southern California, Mark Sanchez wore this dark green mesh jersey for his NFL debut on September 13, 2007 at Reliant Stadium in Houston. The visiting Jets defeated the Texans 24-7 as Sanchez threw for 272 yards, with one touchdown and one interception and the Jets would be en route to two consecutive AFC Championship games. The jersey was manufactured by Reebok and features the “NFL Equipment” patch at the base of the v-neck collar and a sewn in “08-44” patch on the inside back neck indicating the year and size. Sanchez’s number “6” is sewn in white tackle twill on the front and back, while the shoulder numbers are in green, and a matching green nameplate with “SANCHEZ” in white lettering. A Jets logo patch is sewn on the front left shoulder while a special commemorative 50th season patch is sewn on the front right shoulder. The jersey shows good game use with dirt and grass stains and various scuff marks. This item comes with a full LOA from the MeiGray Group (151163).
