Known as a man of few words but decisive deeds, Calvin Coolidge was elected the 29th Vice President of the United States in 1920 and succeeded to the Presidency after the sudden death of Warren G. Harding in 1923 and won the next presidential election in 1924. A small-government, fiscal-conservative, Coolidge’s legacy has continually been debated by those in favor of his reduction of government programs and others who think the federal government should play a larger role in regulating and controlling the economy. Some things never change.

Coolidge and his wife Grace kept it simple on this pair of signed 3” x 4 ¼” White House cards, with “The White House Washington,” printed in blue in the upper right hand corner. Coolidge’s signature is in steel tip fountain pen with no embellishments, while Grace added an underline and over-line to her signature begins a lower case “g;” comes with JSA LOA.
