The 38th and 41st Presidents of the United States Gerald Ford and George H.W. Bush appear together seated at Ford’s desk in the Oval Office in this 6” x 9” color photo with a 2” x 9” plain white border containing their signatures. Contained in an elegant 18” x 24” gold leaf frame with dark blue 100% linen matting, this fantastic piece of presidential memorabilia contains an explanatory name plate placing the principles in their historic context under their names and titles, Gerald Ford 38th President of the United States 1974-1977 and George Bush 41st President of the United States 1989-1993. There is a descriptive cutline stating: “This is a rare format where an incumbent President is sitting with a future President exclaiming “I Loved this Office, [Bush’s inscription] while having no idea he would be the incumbent President in the next decade. It is also interesting to note that the incumbent President has signed and dated the photograph as President.”
Ford signed the photo in bold black sharpie with an “8/17/74” inscription while Bush’s aforementioned inscription precedes his signature which is slightly lighter in blue marker. Handsome presentation comes with PSA/DNA LOA.
