Although he was born in Narrows, Georgia on December 18, 1886 and was also known as “The Georgia Peach”; Ty Cobb spent a great deal of his life in Reno, Nevada where he lived a life of relative luxury after investing the money he earned playing baseball in companies like General Motors and Coca Cola. This check drawn from the First National Bank of Nevada is dated June 29th 1946, made out to cash in the amount of $100 and signed impeccably by Cobb in blue steel-tip fountain pen ink; comes with JSA LOA certification # X82120.
