These official commemorative 4 ¼” x 9 ½” envelope cachets are produced annually for the National Baseball Hall of Fame by Jack London Graphics, in conjunction with each year’s Induction Day ceremony. They depict each year’s inductees in photos or artistic renderings from photos procured from the National Baseball Library archive and are limited to an annual edition of 2,500 Worldwide.
This set of 12 First Day Covers is signed by Joe Morgan, Jim Palmer, Ferguson Jenkins, Rod Carew, Gaylord Perry, Rollie Fingers, Tom Seaver, Hal Newhouser, Steve Carlton, Phil Rizzuto, Mike Schmidt, Earl Weaver, Jim Bunning, Phil Niekro, Lee MacPhail, Larry Doby, Don Sutton, Carlton Fisk, Ozzie Smith, Dennis Eckersley, Wade Boggs and Ryne Sandberg. The post-marked cachets also contain a variety of commemorative baseball stamps including: 2 Babe Ruth 20-cents, 7 Lou Gehrig 25-cents, 2 Roberto Clemente 20-cents, 3 Jackie Robinson 20-cents, 6 Olympic Baseball 29-cents, 2 1869-1969 Professional Baseball centennial 6-cents and 2 1839-1939 Centennial of Baseball 3-cents. All cachets are post-marked with National Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Day cancellations and come with individual JSA COAs.
