Penned on February 13, 1878, the offered check features the signature of the future President of the United States, Benjamin Harrison. The check was made out to and endorsed by "H. McCoy" and bears the blue ink signature of Harrison in the lower right corner. The Harrison script is strong although it has a errant ink mark that flows off the "n" in Harrison. The check has been authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA. LOA from University Archives signed by leading historical autograph expert John Reznikoff.
