An autograph unsigned manuscript penned in black ink on one side of an off-white envelope (no flap). On verso, original art, also in black ink, are four drawings, notes, and two telephone numbers.

“If you hear a knockin at the door at night / that aint no burglar / go back to sleep sweet baby / it just cause all my friends are the out law kind / And all my deals are shady // so you take this and gimme that / And we’ll both meet in hades / Where all my our friends are the out law kind /And all my our deals are shady. // N’ if you feel cold steel undenth my pillow/ It’s just I wanna live to be 80 / With And all my those friends of mine (-mine of) the outlaw kind / Still Doin our my dealin Shady // Oh baby do the hot piano with me / You can stuff plain soda as I find your key / You play high I go low / I’ll you go crazy I you go slow / And oh babe, do the hot piano with me.” The artwork consists of four drawings, one large, three small, on verso. The large drawing, 5” high, depicts a man with a large nose, mustache and short beard, wearing a large hat. The smaller drawings are of a mustachioed face, and two baseball gloves, catcher and first baseman, written in ink by Silverstein “The Boy Stood…” and in pencil by him and circled, “Watching / Johnny Carson / Growing old.” They are accompanied by the 50th Anniversary Edition of “The Giving Tree” by Shel Silverstein.
