Offered is a personalized 5-inch crystal wine glass from President Warren G. Harding’s personal collection. Harding, the 29th President of the United States, entered office in 1921 before suddenly passing in the midst of his term in 1923. The glass features a magnificent “WGH” hand engraving and was manufactured by Sinclair Glass Company. The rare item also boasts an impressive back story as it was given to White House maid Maggie Rogers by Harding’s wife Florence. Rogers then passed the glass along to her daughter, Lillian Rogers Parks, who served as a seamstress and housekeeper at the White House for over 30 years in addition to being a best-selling author. Included with the glass is a typed letter from Lillian Rogers Parks to presidential memorabilia collector Raleigh DeGeer Amyx. The signed letter, dated “November 11, 1982,” on White House letterhead details the journey of this wine glass and serves as a unique certification of its authenticity.
