Possibly the best-known and revered American painter of the 20th Century, Jackson Pollock used his personal experiences and struggles with alcoholism in his work and shattered the art world in the 1940's. Pollock was at the forefront of the abstract expressionist movement and was featured in Life magazine in 1949, showcasing his talents to the world. Like Picasso before him, Pollock became an icon and is one of the most sought-after signatures among artists. Jackson's well documented battles with alcoholism finally caught up with him and he tragically died in a single car accident in 1956. Offered is a beautifully signed personal check from the great artist; penned in black ink on March 16,1953. The check has been authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA.
