David Price followed up two stellar seasons with the best one of his young career in 2012 for the Tampa Bay Rays when he won 20 games behind a 2.56 ERA en route to an American League Cy Young award. Price was dealt to the Detroit Tigers in 2014, but his legacy will not be forgotten in Tampa. Price wore this game-used Rays button-down home jersey during an Aug. 22 victory over Kansas City in 2012. The jersey features “RAYS” across the chest in navy blue on white-and-Carolina blue tackle twill. “PRICE” appears across the back of the jersey in white tackle twill on a navy blue nameplate, with his number “14” below in navy blue-on-white tackle twill. The front tail of the jersey boasts a “Majestic Authentic Collection” manufacturer’s tag, size 48. A black strip tag that reads “Set 2012” appears centered on the front of the jersey at the bottom below the last button. A tag on the inside left seam of the jersey reads “+2 “body” to indicate size modifications. The game-used jersey is certified by MLB Authentication, verification number “FJ 955890.”
