One of the best young catchers in baseball, San Francisco Giants backstop Buster Posey has already built an impressive résumé in just six short seasons. Posey’s lists of accomplishments include, in part, three World Series rings and an NL MVP. Posey wore this game-used cream button-down jersey quite a bit during San Francisco’s 2014 postseason run to a third championship in five years. Posey donned the jersey in Games 3 and 4 of the Giants’ NLDS series win over Washington, as well as San Francisco’s regular season finale against the Padres on Sept. 28. The jersey features “GIANTS” across the chest in black on orange-and-gold tackle twill with Posey’s number “28” on the back in a matching style. The right sleeve of the jersey boasts a “POSTSEASON 14” patch, while the left sleeve features a “SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS BASEBALL CLUB” patch. The front tail of the jersey holds a “Majestic Authentic Collection” manufacturer’s tag, size 48. The jersey shows moderate signs of game use, including areas of dirt staining around the “28” on the reverse side of the piece and discoloration, possibly from sweat under the catcher’s gear, in the stomach region. The jersey is certified by MLB Authentication, number “HZ 373864.”
