The music industry may never see another group match the global reach The Beatles managed to achieve with their groundbreaking mix of pop and rock that from all indications will endure amongst fans of all ages as new generations spawn. Already at their peak of popularity in the United States in the mid-1960s, this book of 100 stamps was introduced to the American public in 1964. The book features five pages of 20 stamps each --- one for each member of the band consisting of icons Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. The fifth page features a group shot of the band together. The 4x7 ¼-inch book features a yellow cover that reads “YEAH! YEAH! YEAH! ORIGINAL BEATLE STAMPS” across the top alongside a 59-cent price marking. An image of each stamp is centered on the cover above a message reading “100 BEATLE STAMPS FOR ALL YOUR Stationery, Greeting Cards, Book Covers, Letters, Album Cover, etc.” Licensing information appears at the bottom of the cover, along with identification of the stamps’ artist Robert S. Thorne and a message indicating the books were “Printed in U.S.A.” The 20 books are all complete with 100 stamps each and remain in strong condition. One book is missing a cover, while another’s cover is detached.
