There is nothing quite like the atmosphere of Opening Day at Yankee Stadium. Former New York closer Mariano Rivera managed to experience 19 of them during his illustrious career in Yankees pinstripes. The soon-to-be Hall of Famer donned this button-down Yankees jersey in the team’s 5-0 home-opening victory over the Angels on April 13 of the 2012 season. Rivera signed the reverse side “4” of his number “42” jersey in bold, silver sharpie. A stitched “NY” logo appears on the left chest of the jersey in navy blue tackle twill, while a “Majestic Authentic Collection” manufacturer’s tag can be found on the front tail of the jersey. Below the manufacturer’s label are two strip tags that read “2012” and size “46.” A butterfly barcode patch also rests on the front tail and reads “0000001846.” The signed jersey comes with MLB Authentication (EK 090044), a Mears LOA and Steiner COA (198882).
