Still regarded in many circles as the greatest quarterback of all time, Joe Montana put together a résumé --- particularly in the postseason --- that will be hard to match for any signal caller. Four times a Super Bowl champion and three times the game’s MVP, Montana’s playoff heroics set him apart from the rest of the field. This signed, game-used 1994 Kansas City Chiefs jersey comes from Montana’s final season in the NFL. He signed the “9” on front and back of his number “19” jersey in bold, silver sharpie along with the inscription “1994 Game Jersey” on the front. “MONTANA” appears across the back of the jersey in red-on-gold tackle twill on a white name plate. His number “19” adorns the front, back and shoulders of the jersey in red-on-gold tackle twill. The right chest of the jersey features a special edition “Texans/Chiefs AFL-AFC 35” patch recognizing the franchise’s history. The left chest of the jersey boasts a limited edition “NFL 75th anniversary” patch. A Wilson manufacturer’s tag is stitched to the front tail of the jersey, with an accompanying size “40” tag and “94” strip tag indicating the jersey’s year. Signed LOA from Montana and JSA LOA.
