New York Yankees legend Babe Ruth had been the subject of a great many commercial products during his lifetime and ever since. One of the most desirable products is this classic Babe Ruth figural electric desk clock produced by the Abbotwares Company shortly after Ruth’s death in 1948. As much a clock as it is a trophy in tribute to The Babe’s great legacy, the clock features a mighty bust of Ruth between two baseballs, on which are recorded his single-season and lifetime home-run records. Manufactured of cast metal in a rich bronze finish, there is no other commercially-produced monument to Ruth than this. Hour, minutes, and seconds appear in the window at the center with a wood base at bottom. Overall dimensions are approximately, 13” x 5” X 10”.
