Erno Rubik, Hungarian inventor of the Rubik's Cube, the world's best selling puzzle game; has signed this 4.75 X 3.5 color photograph taken of him showing a solved and unsolved puzzle. Rubik founded the Rubik Studio in 1983 to design furniture and games having a background in architectural engineering, sculpting and interior architecture but had already invented his famous 3D mechanical puzzle in 1974 and licensed it to be sold by Ideal Toys in 1980. Since then, worldwide sales have exceeded 350 million units. Rubik himself is known as an introvert who rarely attends "speedcubing" events and who rarely signs for the public.
