This is a 38 inch high, 16 inch wide wood original vintage folding clubhouse chair from the original Yankee Stadium, New York representing a piece of American baseball history present when the Stadium became the first triple-decked structure and first ballpark to be labeled as a Stadium" upon its original construction completed for Opening Day in 1923. Yankee Stadium quickly became known as the "House that Ruth built," and "The Home of Champions," with this seat utilized during dozens of Stadium events including World Series games and recognized triumphs of the Yankees dynasty witnessing the feats of Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris. . Painted royal blue, the chair’s seat measures 13x14 and has a 4.5 inch backing that connects the top of the seat. The chair is in excellent condition with visible signs of usage and chipped paint and wood. The back of the chair has a black stamp “PROPERTY OF YANKEE STADIUM” with the “M” slightly faded. Comes with a Gotta Have It LOA.
