This graphic Major League baseball artifact is an original batting circle used during the historic 2001 World Series played between the New York Yankees and the Arizona Diamondbacks. The circle which measures more than 5 feet in diameter prominently displays the 2001 World Series logo and is signed and inscribed in black pen by four legendary Yankee players: Derek Jeter, Mariano Rivera “4X WS Champs”, Paul O'Neil "The Warrior”, and Willie Randolph "9/11/01 Never Forgotten”. At a later signing, the signature of former Yankee Shane Spencer was added (not pictured). The 2001 Series is remembered as much for Arizona's defeat of the 3 consecutive time World Champion Yankees and one of the most memorable comeback's in World Series history as it is for the patriotism expressed during this World Series following the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
