No two individuals defined New York Yankees baseball in the 1950’s like manager Casey Stengel and Mickey Mantle. Stengel’s street-wise humor was a great foil to his team's relentless pursuit of World Championships throughout the decade. Mickey Mantle's boyish demeanor and limitless baseball talent made him the idol of every American boy. This game used baseball dates from around 1956, right in the sweet spot of one of the Yankees greatest dynasties - Mantle would win back-to-back MVP Awards and the team would win 6 World Series before the decade ended. This Reach Harridge Official American League Baseball shows great game use with various turf marks and light staining. The Mick has signed the sweet spot in black ink (8/10) and the Ol' Perfesser has signed on the right panel (8/10). A great game used ball that brings together the two faces of 1950's Yankee baseball. Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
