This Official Major League baseball is uniquely signed twice by New York Yankees star shortstop and team captain Derek Jeter. Jeter has penned his name on adjacent side panels in blue ballpoint pen. Whether it was knowingly signed twice, we do not know; but this is the only baseball that we have ever seen signed twice by the first Yankee player to hit 3,000 hits in his career. Jeter earned Rookie of the Year honors during his rookie 1996 season. In 2000, Jeter became the only player in history to win both the All-Star Game MVP Award and the World Series MVP Award in the same year. Jeter's hard style of play and team spirit has endeared him to countless fans and has earned him All-Star status, Gold Glove Awards and 5 World Series rings to date.
