This is a rare historical woman’s bracelet, handcrafted to mourn the assassination of President Abraham Lincoln in 1865. The stunning bracelet which measures approximately 7” X 7/8” is comprised of six attached panels with four rectangular windows in each displaying black “onyx” inserts and a center panel with a raised clear oval bevel containing a small portrait of the slain President. The topside of the bracelet is gold tone, while the underside is silver. This is a truly an iconic bracelet that characterized the pageantry that surrounded Lincoln’s funeral that was unequalled in American history as an entire nation was shocked by his death and first assassination of a President. Lincoln, best known for overthrowing slavery through the Emancipation Proclamation and the Thirteenth Amendment, was the 16th president and first of the Republican Party and among scholars is often regarded as the top ranked President of the United States. Comes with Gotta Have It LOA.
