Imagine being able to tell your grand kids that you were the first Yankee to get a hit at Yankee Stadium. Aaron Ward is the only man that had that honor. The former Yankee infielder endorsed this payroll check for $1660.55 made out to him on May 29th, 1925. Also signing this check were General Manager Ed Barrow, and team owner Jacob Ruppert. A stamp on the reverse indicates that this check was for May’s salary and uniform deposit. Cool piece of New York Yankees history. Full letter of authenticity from James Spence Authentication.
