Lucy and Desi Arnez became “America’s Favorite Couple” with the smash hit “I Love Lucy” TV show. These are Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz's original Screen Actors Guild (SAG) cards that enabled them to work in television. Lucy's card, stamped "3054A" is for the year 1956-57 and expired on January 31, 1957. Desi's card, stamped "19684A," for the year 1957, expired on April 30, 1957. Each card measures 2 ½” x 4”. The two cards are accompanied by Desi's original card receipt. Stamp-dated "FEB 26 57", the 4” x 6” receipt is made out to Desi Arnaz, with their address on Cahuenga Boulevard in Hollywood, and references Desi's SAG card number (19684A).
