Elvis hasn’t left the building. He’s right here in full glory at every stage of his epic career—1950s Gold-Lame Elvis, 1960s Comeback Elvis and 1970s Vegas Elvis. Officially commissioned by none other than Elvis Presley Enterprises, Adam Port’s uniquely stylized tribute became a limited-edition print series and has otherwise never seen the light of day until now. It is four perfectly rendered portraits in one, with the surrounding motif of a mock movie-poster design. Showcasing his methodical attention to minute detail, Port even used the background margins to subtly recreate actual movie posters—including It Happened at the World’s Fair (1963), Vegas ’69 (1969), The Trouble With Girls (1969) and Elvis on Tour (1972). This mesmerizing work must be seen to be believed, as it captures the King’s lip curl, pompadour, sideburns and classic outfits—right down to the individual tiny rhinestones—with mind-boggling, hyper-realistic accuracy. “My concept here was to create the ultimate Elvis homage,” Port explains. “I wanted to encompass his many different ‘looks’ as if this were the definitive promo piece for a documentary of his legendary life and times.”

Bio: Heir-apparent to the great modern masters of photorealist portraiture, Adam Port reigns as one of the nation's premier sports and entertainment artists, with a clientele that has included influential entities like the NBA, Basketball Hall of Fame and Elvis Presley Enterprises, along with A-list stars like Michael Jordan, Carmelo Anthony and Ray Lewis. A graduate of Syracuse University’s School of Visual and Performing Arts, Port has perfected his trademark technique of using acrylic paint and colored pencil on illustration board to create breathtakingly life-like portraits.
