Perhaps best known for his role as actor and love for racing, one of Paul Newman’s true passions was giving back to various charities. Newman spearheaded that effort by founding Newman’s Own 1982. The food company has raised over $400 million for countless causes without a dime going in Newman’s pocket. This signed 20x27 ¾-inch color poster features Newman promoting his company’s virgin lemonade with the help of actress Whoopi Goldberg. Newman signed the poster in bold, black sharpie across Goldberg’s white dress. The top of the poster reads “NEWMAN’S OWN VIRGIN LEMONADE” in gold writing on a purple backdrop, while a message along the bottom states “OLD-FASHIONED ROADSIDE VIRGIN LEMONADE” in a matching color pattern. An arching message above Goldberg reads “RESTORES VIRGINITY” with a word bubble coming out of Goldberg’s mouth stating “WHOOPI!” The 1991 poster shows normal signs of wear, including some creases and discoloring around the edges likely from going in and out of frames. The signed poster comes with a JSA LOA, certification number “X97519.”
