Offered is a uniformly-toned ONL Heydler baseball has been signed in black ink by 29 members of the 1925 World Champion Pittsburgh Pirates including (5) Hall of Famers, (23) players/coaches and (6) scouts/team officials. Ball players include Aldridge, Barnhart, Bigbee, Carey (on ball label), Clarke (coach, on ball label), Culloton, Cuyler, Ens, Gooch, Grantham, Kremer, McKechnie (manager), Meadows, Moore, Morrison, Oldham, Rawlings, Sheehan, Smith, Spencer, Traynor, Wright and Yde. The ball also bears the signature of Joe Devine (Pirates scout) and five others (most of which are partially illegible) who are most likely non-roster team officials. Signatures range in grade from "3-8 ", averaging around "6" with an excellent overall appearance. The ball has been coated with a light layer of protective shellac (a heavier layer appears atop the Carey signature) which displays a few minor chips and abrasions, thus affecting a few of the signatures.
