Spanning JFK's days as a U.S. Representative up through the aftermath of his assassination, this fascinating journey captures both public and private moments in the life and times of our 35th President. Speeches, appearances, campaigns, conventions, family gatherings, memorial services, site visits, cabinet meetings, dignitary visits, Hyannisport/Newport shots—it's all here...and more often than not with the intact paper captions to recount the scene. There is a mix of Type I and Type II examples, with the majority hailing from United Press International, along with Associated Press, International News and other distributors. Sizes are for the most part 7" x 9" and 8" x 10" though there are also smaller photos throughout. As expected, the collection contains the typical evidence of newsroom usage in the form of creases, edge chips/tears, editorial notes/crop marks, background masks and general surface wear. The pictures in our catalog and online are a mere taste of this historic hoard!
