This 3' x 8'-2" canvas banner once hung above the streets of Chicago commemorating the Chicago Bears Hall of Fame running back, Walter Payton, who tragically passed away in 1999. The huge, double-sided blue banner features the famous Bears running back in uniform and states "CHICAGO SALUTES WALTER PAYTON 1954 - 1999". The bottom of the banner reads “Sweetness Greatness CITY OF CHICAGO RICHARD M. DALEY, MAYOR”.
