The late Tony Gwynn, an eight-time NL batting champion who earned 15 All-Star nominations and five Gold Glove awards, was an easy choice as a first-ballot Hall of Famer in 2007. The career .338 hitter sported these signed Franklin game-used batting gloves during his illustrious 20-year tenure with the San Diego Padres. Gwynn’s signature appears severely faded in blue sharpie on the “Franklin” logo patch on the top of both gloves. The navy blue and grey gloves boast a Velcro strap that reads “TGA” with a silhouette of Gwynn. The four fingers on both gloves each boast two rings of white athletic tape, seemingly used to help Gwynn’s grip. The right glove shows slightly more wear than the left, particularly in the palm and fingers, which are stained brown and show additional erosion. The signed, game-used Gwynn gloves are PSA/DNA pre-certified.
