Opening Day Auction Closing May 9th

A Detroit landmark for nearly nine decades, Tiger Stadium was home to the baseball franchise during four World Series title runs. The venue closed its doors to baseball for the last time on Sept. 27, 1999, when the host Tigers defeated the Kansas City Royals, 8-2. Offered is a game-used baseball from that historic day at Tiger Stadium. The Rawlings OAL Budig baseball was hit for a single to right-center field by Kansas City’s Ray Sanchez. The game-used baseball features a commemorative “Tiger Stadium Final Game” logo on the south panel. The baseball shows obvious signs of game use, including field stain spotting across the surface. The game-used baseball comes with a Tigers PSA/DNA LOA, certification number “1A13376.”
