Prince Fielder’s two-year stay in Detroit was brief, but effective, as the powerful first baseman helped the Tigers reach the World Series in 2012 after hitting .313 with 30 home runs and 108 RBI. It was more of the same for Fielder the following year, his last with Detroit, when he hit 25 homers and collected 106 RBI. This signed 2013 Fielder game-used Tigers button-down grey road jersey was donned by the first baseman in a contest against Miami on Sept. 27. The jersey features “Detroit” scripted across the chest with “FIELDER” across the top back and his number “28” on both sides in navy blue on orange and white tackle twill. Fielder signed the jersey in bold, silver sharpie on the reverse side “8.” The front left tail of the jersey features a “Majestic Authentic Collection” manufacturer’s label with a white strip tag below that reads “28 58 ’13 512.” Tigers clubhouse manager Jim Schmakel marked the manufacturer’s label “JSG” in black sharpie to verify the jersey was worn by Fielder. The jersey shows light evidence of game use and is verified under the MLB Authentication program, number “EK892540.” Fielder’s signature is PSA/DNA authenticated with certification number “X90295.”
