Smacking home runs is nothing new to Detroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera. The big-swinging Cabrera connected on 113 long balls the last three seasons --- two of which included MVP awards. This Cabrera grey game-used Detroit Tigers button-down road jersey comes from a May 13, 2014 contest against Baltimore when Cabrera connected on a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning off Tommy Hunter to lift his team to an eventual 4-1 victory. “Detroit” appears scripted across the chest with “CABRERA” across the top back and his number “24” on both sides in navy blue on orange and white tackle twill. The front left tail of the jersey features a “Majestic Authentic Collection” manufacturer’s label with a white strip tag below that reads “24 46 ’14 462.” Tigers clubhouse manager Jim Schmakel marked the manufacturer’s label “JSG” in black sharpie to verify the jersey was worn by Cabrera. The jersey shows light evidence of game use and is verified under the MLB Authentication program, number “EK062747.”
